 Regular Meeting

 September 26th, 2011

On September 26th, Vice President Jennifer Matheson called the Regular Meeting of the Marrowbone Public Library Board of Trustees to order at 7:18 pm. Roll Call was taken with the following members present; Tim Moon, Christina Marshall, Carol Iler, Jennifer Ashley, Jennifer Matheson, Kris Seitz, and Carolyn Austin. Librarians Sally Ascenzo, Lisa Spracklen (Co-Directors) and Lesa Oathout were also in attendance.

Minutes and Reports:

Minutes from the last meeting were read and approved per a motion by Carolyn.

The treasurer’s report for July was reviewed. Christina motioned to accept the report and payment of bills and it was unanimously approved by roll call vote.

Committee Reports: 

There were no committee reports this month.

Unfinished Business:

The 2011/2012 Budget and Appropriations Ordinance was posted on August 22nd and a Public Hearing for the Budget and Appropriations was held before the regular board meeting. Jennifer M. moved to approve Ordinance 11-2 and it was unanimously approved.

The 2011/2012 Levy will be voted on in the October Board meeting.

An updated building expansion layout was reviewed.

New Business:

A Per Capita Grant request will be submitted requesting new table and chairs.

The annual Board/Staff Holiday party was scheduled for December 3rd at 4:00.

Librarian's report:

Circulation is down. Children's programming story hour will be starting in September and Family Reading Night is scheduled for November 17th.

The first art class was held at the library with 2 students.

Christina M. motioned to adjourn the meeting at 8:04 pm.
