REGULAR MEETING

October 24, 2011 

On October 24th, President Tim Moon called the Regular Meeting of the Marrowbone Public Library Board of Trustees to order at 7:17 pm. Roll Call was taken with the following members present; Tim Moon, Carol Iler, Jennifer Ashley, Jennifer Matheson, Kris Seitz, and Carolyn Austin. Librarians Sally Ascenzo and Lisa Spracklen (Co-Directors) were also present. Board member Christina Marshall arrived at 7:29.

Minutes and Reports:

Minutes from the last meeting were read and approved per a motion by Carolyn.

The treasurer’s report for October was reviewed. Kris motioned to accept the report and payment of bills and it was unanimously approved by roll call vote.

Committee Reports:

There were no committee reports this month.

Unfinished Business:

Jennifer A. motioned to approve the 2011/2012 Levy, Ordinance 11-3, and it was unanimously approved by roll call vote.

New Business:

Sally updated the Board on the proposed legislation to pay regional school superintendents from the Corporate Personal Property Tax Replacement Fund. The Library receives some funding from this tax which would be jeopardized by the proposed legislation.

Librarian's report:

Circulation is down slightly. Story hour is going well, and Family Reading Night is scheduled for November 17th. Art class has had steady participation of about 10 students.
