Regular Meeting
November 28th, 2011
On November 28th, President Tim Moon called the Regular Meeting of the Marrowbone Public Library Board of Trustees to order at 7:18 pm. Roll Call was taken with the following members present; Tim Moon, Carol Iler, Jennifer Ashley, and Kris Seitz. Librarians Sally Ascenzo and Lisa Spracklen (Co-Directors) and Lesa Oathout were also present. Board member Christina Marshall arrived at 7:27.
Minutes and Reports:
Minutes from the last meeting were read and approved as amended per a motion by Jennifer.
The treasurer’s report for the previous month was reviewed. Kris motioned to accept the report and payment of bills and it was unanimously approved by roll call vote.
Committee Reports:
There were no committee reports this month.
Unfinished Business:
Lesa and Lisa attended a statewide grant workshop in Decatur and were advised that the library is unlikely to receive a "Live and Learn" grant and it was recommended that they apply for State library bonds instead.
New Business:
The Board discussed holiday bonuses and Christina motioned to maintain them at the same level as last year. The motion was passed unanimously.
Librarian's report:
Circulation is up, story hour is going well, and there were approximately 65 in attendance for Family Reading Night. Art class has had steady participation of about 10 students.
Christina M. motioned to adjourn the meeting at 7:34 pm.
