Regular Meeting

June 27th, 2011

On June 27th, President Tim Moon called the Regular Meeting of the Marrowbone Public Library Board of Trustees to order at 7:16 pm. Roll Call was taken with the following members present; Mr. Moon, Carol Iler, Jennifer Ashley, Jennifer Matheson, Kris Seitz and Carolyn Austin. Librarians Sally Ascenzo and Lisa Spracklen (Co-Directors) and Lesa Oathout and Mildred Newcomb were also in attendance.

Minutes and Reports:

Minutes from the last meeting were read and approved as amended per a motion by Jennifer A.

The treasurer’s report for May was reviewed. Kris motioned to accept the report and payment of bills and it was unanimously approved by roll call vote.

Committee Reports:

The goals and entertainment committee is planning a summer cookout.

Unfinished Business:

Alternate building expansion layouts were discussed. It was decided to pursue a rectangular floor plan of approximately 1300 square feet.

New Business:

Jennifer A. motioned to move $600 from the Building Fund to the General Fund to offset the payment to the Architect. The motion passed unanimously by roll call vote.

After review, Jennifer M. motioned to pass the Prevailing Wage Ordinance 11-1 and it was passed unanimously.

Librarian's report:

Circulation is up - especially periodicals - as a result of the new displays. Children's programming is going very well.

Jennifer M. motioned to adjourn the meeting at 8:03 pm.
