Regular Meeting

July 25th, 2011

On July 25th, Vice President Jennifer Matheson called the Regular Meeting of the Marrowbone Public Library Board of Trustees to order at 7:17 pm. Roll Call was taken with the following members present: Carol Iler, Jennifer Matheson, Christina Marshall and Carolyn Austin. Librarians Sally Ascenzo and Lisa Spracklen (Co-Directors) were also in attendance.

Minutes and Reports:

Minutes from the last meeting were read and approved per a motion by Christina M.

The treasurer’s report for May was reviewed. Christina motioned to accept the report and payment of bills and it was unanimously approved by roll call vote.

Committee Reports:

The goals and entertainment committee is planning a summer cookout and will update us at a later date.

Unfinished Business:

Building expansion layouts discusion will be tabled until the next meeting.

New Business:

Jennifer M and Tim Moon will audit the minutes for the IPLAR.

Board meeting dates for 2011/2012 were handed out to board members. We reviewed the 2011/2012 budget and Certificate of Publication. Trustees reviewed Chapter 2 of Standards for Il Public Libraries.

The Annual meeting will be coming up next month.

Librarian's report:

Circulation is up - especially periodicals - as a result of the new displays. Story hour will be starting in September.

Christina M. motioned to adjourn the meeting at 7:34 pm.
