Regular Meeting

April 25th, 2011

On April 25th, President Tim Moon called the Regular Meeting of the Marrowbone Public Library Board of Trustees to order at 7:16 pm. Roll Call was taken with the following members present: Tim, Carol Iler, Jennifer Ashley, Jennifer Matheson, Kris Seitz and Carolyn Austin. Librarians Sally Ascenzo and Lisa Spracklen (Co-Directors) and Lesa Oathout were also in attendance.

Minutes and Reports: 

Minutes from the last meeting were read and approved as amended per a motion by Jennifer A.

The treasurer’s report for March was reviewed. Carolyn motioned to accept the report and payment of bills and it was unanimously approved by roll call vote.

Unfinished Business: 

The librarians presented a potential layout of a building extension that generated much discussion.

New Business: 

A CD will expire next month. A decision on whether to reinvest the money was tabled until next month's meeting.

The Board swore in reelected members Jennifer A. and Jennifer M., and voted to maintain existing officers and committee assignments.

The Theta Psi Chapter of the Psi Iota Xi sorority donated $200 toward the summer reading program.

Librarian's report: 

Circulation is up. Attendance has increased at children's programming and the Librarians are preparing for the Summer Reading program.

Jennifer M motioned to adjourn the meeting at 8:29 pm.
